Welcome to the Canvas

Where your story finds its color.

I’m Jeanette, and my journey has been a collection of many different landscapes. From the busy streets of the Bronx and my Puerto Rican roots to the front lines as a U.S. Marine, I have spent my life learning what it means to be a warrior. Today, I live that mission in a new way, as an artist, a creator, an author, a speaker, and a fellow traveler on the path to healing.

Whether you are a veteran navigating the transition to civilian life, a Lupus Warrior seeking strength in the middle of a flare, or a soul searching for release from the hurts of the past...you belong here.

I know what it’s like to live behind "camouflage." I know the weight of carrying things the world cannot see. But I also know that even in our darkest seasons, beauty persists. Through the restorative power of painting and the fluid grace of the canvas, I’ve discovered how to live unfettered, free from the labels and the pain that once tried to define my boundaries.

At Camouflage to Canvas, we believe:

* Your past does not have to be your permanent landscape.

* Healing is a tactical, beautiful, and daily practice.

* Every one of us is a masterpiece in progress.

Step into the studio with me. Let’s explore the intricate beauty of nature, share stories at the Camouflaged Table, and find the courage to shed our own camouflage together through art.

With grace and grit,

Jeanette J Pizarro-Harpe
