This is more than just a class; it’s my flagship program and a true labor of love. Art to Heal is centered on the belief that the creative process itself is a powerful therapeutic tool. We aren’t focused on the final product or "perfect" technique; instead, we lean into the movement of the brush and the flow of color to navigate the heavy layers of trauma and stress.
In these sessions, I invite you to turn the canvas into a sacred, safe space, a place where words aren't necessary, but release and restoration are always found. It’s about gently peeling back the noise of the world to rediscover the quiet strength within yourself.
I understand that sometimes, the heart needs a little more time and a lot more privacy before it’s ready to share its story with others. If you find yourself in a season where you prefer the stillness of your own company, I’ve created The Quiet Path.
This is a self-led version of the Art to Heal experience, designed to let you move at your own pace within the comfort of your own sanctuary.
When you choose this path, I will send you a beautifully curated guide containing the foundational steps of my process, along with specific, gentle exercises such as:
· The Breath-Stroke Ritual: A grounding exercise that syncs your breathing with simple, repetitive brush movements to calm the nervous system.
· Color Mapping the Heart: A guided process to help you identify and release emotions by assigning them colors and allowing them to flow freely onto the page.
· The Layering Practice: A technique focused on "covering and uncovering," helping you physically move through the layers of stress toward a place of restoration.
This is your journey, and there is no right or wrong way to walk it. You deserve a safe space to heal, even if, for now, that space is just between you and the canvas.

Healing doesn't have a "one size fits all" setting. Whether you find comfort in the shared energy of a room or feel most at peace in your own private sanctuary, I have a space held for you.
There is something sacred about gathering together. My in-person sessions offer a peaceful, tactile environment where we can share the atmosphere of creativity. I provide all the supplies, a calming environment, and a physical community of support. It’s a beautiful way to step out of your daily routine and into a dedicated space of restoration.
If you prefer to stay in your "safe harbor" at home, or if you aren't local to my area, my virtual sessions bring the Art to Heal experience directly to you. We connect via a private, secure video link, allowing you to create in the environment where you feel most secure. You’ll receive a list of suggested supplies beforehand so you can set up your own healing corner exactly how you like it.
As a reminder, if you aren't quite ready for a live session, whether in person or online, the Quiet Path guide is always available. This allows you to walk through the five exercises I’ve developed at your own pace, in total privacy.
The Role of Art in Healing:
At Mended Strokes Studios, Art to Heal, we believe that creativity is a powerful, restorative tool for the soul. However, it is important to understand that the services, workshops, and resources provided by Jeanette Pizarro-Harpe are not a replacement for professional medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or traditional psychotherapy. Jeanette is a facilitator of creative expression and a peer witness, not a licensed therapist or psychiatrist.
Our Collaborative Approach:
Art healing is most effective when used as a complementary tool. We encourage our participants to use these creative practices as a "Safe Harbor" to accompany the ongoing work they are doing with a licensed mental health professional.
This program is designed for:
· Active Support: Those currently working with a therapist or psychiatrist who want a creative outlet to process and ground their clinical work.
· Holistic Enhancement: Individuals who have already navigated the "heavy lifting" of trauma therapy and are now seeking a holistic, creative approach to maintain and enhance their long-term mental health walk.
