The Foundation of My Truth

I wrote my first book, Camouflaged Shame (Uncensored), because I realized that so many of us—especially those of us who have worn the uniform—carry heavy burdens in silence. For too long, I let past hurts and the weight of "shame" stay hidden beneath the surface.

Why I wrote it: I needed to peel back the layers of my own experiences as a veteran and a woman to show that our past does not have to define our future. It was a raw, honest effort to give a voice to the things we often feel we must hide.

This book is for the veterans, the survivors, and anyone who feels they are living behind a mask. If you have ever felt that your struggle makes you "less than," I wrote this to tell you that you are seen, you are worthy, and you are not alone.
